The merger opf the tree with the subject's head is so obvious that you would think the person taking it would notice it. This is not the case, as often the person taking the photo is so engrossed in the subject they omit looking to see what the viewfinder is seeing. Before you go "click" take a good look at what is around your subject in the viewfinder.

Here we have an example of too close a cropping in the viewfinder, almost cutting off the head of one man, and body portions such as feet of others. If you want these people in your photo make sure there is space around them, otherwise move them out of the picture or shoot from a different angle.
PHOTOS C & D.
Here we have an example, in photo C, of objects that attract being placed in close proximity to the face, stealing the attention from the subject. Photo D corrects this by being taken from a lower angle, with the distracting object placed further away from the face of the subject, so not taking attention away from the aim of the photo
